After the big reveal about Businesses & Hobbies for The Sims 4, it seems that there are more entrepreneurial ventures in store for players along with the next expansion pack. In particular, the Motherlode reveal has just given us a cheeky sneak peek at what’s on the horizon in the next few months, with one specific eye emoticon that’s as frustrating as it is exciting.
Specifically, the eyes zero in on a falling poster with a rose on it at the end. Would that have something to do with what’s going down on February 25th? We’ll just have to wait (or hire a conspiracy theorist) to know more.
This means that The Sims 4 will be giving players’ favourite pastimes plenty of love in the coming weeks, whether that’s setting up their own tattoo parlour (to the dismay of bald-headed ink enthusiasts, apparently) or enrolling in what seems to be a pottery class ala-Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in Ghost.
What’s happening in The Sims 4?
Yes, there’s plenty to look forward to based on the icons within the cryptic background graphic alone. We’ve got a kitchen owned by someone who’s apparently not too keen on washing the dishes, a random group of people peering through a telescope, and what looks to be some kind of fancy pen.
What’s interesting to me is that there’s a flyer of some sort that’s advertising how you can “start your business now” right next to a “get rich quick” poster. Could there possibly be more criminal endeavours on the horizon? Only time will tell.
For now, if you’re curious about the expansion roadmap for The Sims 4, here’s what we’ve got from the teaser:
- February 6th – Business & Hobbies Expansion Pack First Look
- February 18th – Business & Hobbies Gameplay Deep Dive
- February 25th – What the heckin’ heck is this eye emoticon I need to know now
- March 6th – Business & Hobbies Launch
- May 1st – 3 Kits: Restoration Workshop, Golden Years, Kitchen Clutter
Catherine writes about the voices in her head as an author of four novels under Penguin Random House SEA, where all her stories reference video games in more ways than one. After all, crafting fictional worlds for imaginary characters is pretty much what The Sims is all about, isn't it
