As part of the ongoing The Sims 25th Birthday Celebrations, Electronic Arts have released further details on the huge content drops (and more) coming to The Sims FreePlay.
While FreePlay might be one of the lesser mentioned games in The Sims series, it has definitely not been passed over when it comes to getting new things added as part of The Sims 25th Anniversary Celebration. In fact, the team behind it are really leaning into the celebrations with several events themed around 2000, the year that kicked it all off. In fact, they’re calling the whole thing FreePlay 2000, and we’ll be touching on it a lot over the next while.
Among details of the new events came specifics relating the SimChase Season 83: ‘The One with the Coffee Shop’ which runs from 20th January through until 1st February.
SimChase Season 83, “The One with the Coffee Shop”, has your Sim pick up a job at a local cafe, however they quickly discover that a competitor Buffy Buffet are taking all of their customers. The details promised fresh cookies, vintage coffee machines and more, but — critically — who can ignore that ‘Friends’ themed title?
For those not in the know about what a SimChase is, it’s a TV Show-style event series that runs through The Sims FreePlay. New events are presented as a pop up and you then have a limited time to start the Chase, after that you compete against a rival to complete objectives and, subsequently, win cool stuff.
SimChase Season 83, “The One with the Coffee Shop” will run from 20th January through until February 1st, after that, the next SimChase will be ‘Family FunTime’ running from February 24th. You won’t have to wait for long for the next even though, as a new live event ‘My First Apartment’ kicks off from 4th February.
